We are currently completing the more than 170 projects on the capital works program for the 2024/25 financial year.

- Beckenham Level Crossing Removal – Metronet are continuing their work to remove the level crossing and provide a new Beckenham Train Station.
- Namatjira Way, Kenwick – this month the construction of a new cul-de-sac end treatment will begin. This works follows community consultation of the preferred treatment option.
- Birchington Street, Beckenham – this month the City will resurface Birchington Street from Tooting Street to Beckenham Neighbourhood Centre.
- Ranford Road, Canning Vale – work continues to install the new bus lanes between Queensgate Drive and Campbell Road. The City is currently experiencing delays with this project due to changes in design at the Nicholson Road and Ranford Road intersection.
- Spencer Road, Langford – work to install a living stream will commence once again once the ground conditions improve.
- Boxly Place, Langford – the City will this month resurface from Southgate Street to end of cul-de-sac.
- Langford Indoor Sports Centre – have you seen the plans for Langford Oval? View the fly through video of the new indoor sports centre on the project page.
- Naming Our Wetlands – new signage will soon be installed at two wetlands in Canning Vale recognising our connection to Noongar culture and heritage.
- Urban Greening Program – our planting program to install over 1,000 trees and 3,000 plants will soon be completed. Why not visit one of the locations to see our new leafy friends?
- Bracadale Park, Canning Vale – following major drainage upgrades the landscape makeover of Bracadale Park will commence soon. This wet season is being used to ensure the drainage changes are working as intended prior to landscaping.
- Mary Carroll Park, Gosnells – the installation of the new Eudoria Street Hub continues at Mary Carroll Park.
- Gosnells Oval All-abilities – construction of the future all-abilities playground has commenced with initial site works finished.
- Station Street Bridge, Gosnells – this month will see Station Street closed for approximately 12 months to allow for the construction of a new two-lane bridge. Residents are asked to find alternative routes.
- Ecton Street, Gosnells – the City will resurface Ecton Street from Bexley Place to James Street this month.
- Westfield Street, Maddington – installation of traffic calming between Helm Street and Pitchford Avenue. Boscivil is completing the work on behalf of the City. This project will also include new pram ramps and path works.
- Cedar Way, Maddington – this month the City will continue the removal of the cul-de-sac at Cedar Way. Residents who are directly affected have been contacted by the City.
- Boyle Lane, Orange Grove – construction of parking bays and pedestrian island continues. This work supports students and parents at Orange Grove Primary School, and compliments the future Orange Grove all-abilities playground
- Boyle Playground, Orange Grove – the installation of the future all-abilities playground continues to progress with further equipment to be installed this month. The playground is on track of opening in October.
- Barrett Street, Southern River – Barrett Street is now open to vehicles once again. The final section of the new pedestrian walkway is to be completed soon, once additional clearing permits have been approved. The City is working on the lighting and chicane design to allow future works.
- Shipbourne Way, Huntingdale – the City will this month continue to resurface from Balfour Street to Balfour Street. This work is co-located with the work recently completed on Todd Place, Huntingdale.
- YES Sutherlands Park – construction of the 100-metre roof is continuing at the future Sutherlands Park Youth Entertainment Space.
- Southern River Business Park – the construction of the new Southern River Business Park is continuing with the work being completed by our contractors Densford Civil.
- Wood Place, Thornlie – the City will continue work this month to resurface Wood Place from Parkway Drive to end of cul-de-sac.
- Regency Drive, Thornlie – This month the City will resurface Regency Drive from the Spencer Road intersection to outside number 69 Regency Drive. This work will occur on the northern side of the road.
