We are currently completing the more than 200 projects on the capital works program for the 2023/24 financial year.

  • Brixton Road, Beckenham - The road is being resurfaced between William Street and Sydenham Street.
  • Alexandria Boulevard, Canning Vale - A feature and contour survey will commence to inform irrigation design and landscape modifications of Alexandria Boulevard Reserve. This is a waterwise project.
  • Ranford Road, Canning Vale, Canning Vale - new bus lanes are being installed. Works from Campbell Road to Nicholson are continuing including drainage, kerb and path works. Find our more on the project page.
  • Bracadale Park, Canning Vale - Concrete works and deliveries of limestone rocks will commence. Find out more on the project page.
  • Boxly Place, Langford - The road is being resurfaced from Southgate Street to the end of the cul-de-sac.
  • Mary Carroll Park - Work will continue on the all abilities playground. The project has suffered delays through the procurement process and we appreciate the community's patience.
  • Gosnells Oval All Abilities Playground - Stage one of the project has commenced with construction of car park bays continuing.
  • Moonstone Place, Gosnells - The road is being resurfaced from Compton Road to the end of the cul-de-sac.
  • Burslem Drive Underpass - BOS Civil have completed the construction of the skylight. The City will now construct the footpaths and barrier. Find out more on the project page.
  • Westfield Street, Maddington - Traffic calming measures are being installed between Helm Street and Pitchford Avenue.
  • Barford Street and Westfield Street, Maddington - Pram ramp and pedestrian walk throughs are being adjusted on footpaths.
  • Rayne Street and Westfield Street, Maddington - Pram ramp and pedestrian walk throughs are being adjusted on footpaths.
  • Boyle All Abilities Playground - Further playground items to be installed, with preparation for rubber soft fall. Some car parks and a pedestrian island will be installed on Boyle Lane.
  • Cargeeg Bridge, Station Street - Cargeeg Bridge on Station Street is open for both vehicular and pedestrian traffic. Main Roads WA will begin construction on the new dual lane bridge in the coming months. All further inquiries are to be sent to Main Roads WA who will take control of this area once construction commences.
  • New Operations Centre, Orange Grove – The City has now received West Australian Planning Commission approval for the centre, with the City approving the Development Application. The project will now move into the detailed design phase.
  • Sutherlands Park, Huntingdale - A new playground is being installed at Sutherlands C.
  • Barrett Street, Southern River - The road is being widened and reconstructed and a path added. The road is expected to re-open prior to 16 August 2024.
  • Todd Place, Huntingdale - The road is being resurfaced from Shipbourne Street to the end of the cul-de-sac.
  • Southern River Business Park - Lots at the new Southern River Business Park have now all sold with construction works to support the Business Park underway. Visit the project page for more information.

There are no works planned for Thornlie during July 2024.
