We are currently completing the more than 170 projects on the capital works program for the 2024/25 financial year.

  • Ranford Road, Canning Valework continues to install the new bus lanes between Queensgate Drive and Campbell Road. The City is currently experiencing delays with this project due to changes in design at the Nicholson Road and Ranford Road intersection.
  • Spencer Road, Langford – work to install a living stream will commence once again once the ground conditions improve.
  • Langford Indoor Sports Centrehave you seen the plans for Langford Oval? View the fly through video of the new indoor sports centre on the project page.
  • Bracadale Park, Canning Valefollowing major drainage upgrades the landscape makeover of Bracadale Park will commence soon. New parking is being installed along Bracadale Way.
  • Choseley Place, Langford - a new path will be installed from Brookman Avenue to the end of the cul-de-sac.
  • Mudlark Close, Langford - a new path will be installed on the northern side of the road this month.
  • Osten Drive, Langford - A new path will be installed along Osten Drive from Southgate Road to the park.
  • Waxberry Gardens, Canning Vale - A new path will be installed from outside 5 Waxberry Gardens to Comrie Road.
  • Corsican Way, Canning Vale - this month the City will install a new path from 10 Corsican Way to Comrie Road.
  • Gosnells Oval All-abilitiesconstruction of the future all-abilities playground has commenced with initial site works finished.
  • Station Street Bridge, Gosnellsthis month will see Station Street closed for approximately 12 months to allow for the construction of a new two-lane bridge. Residents are asked to find alternative routes.
  • Seaforth Avenue, Gosnells - this month a new shared path will be installed along Seaforth Avenue, Gosnells. Residents will receive confirmation of work location soon.
  • Westfield Street, Maddington – installation of traffic calming between Helm Street and Pitchford Avenue. Boscivil is completing the work on behalf of the City. This project will also include new pram ramps and path works.
  • Barrett Street, Southern RiverBarrett Street is now open to vehicles once again. The final section of the new pedestrian walkway is to be completed soon, once additional clearing permits have been approved. The City is working on the lighting and chicane design to allow future works.
  • Dobell Street, Huntingdale – the City will this month replace the footpath from Matilda Street to Sands Court.
  • YES Sutherlands Parkconstruction of the 100-metre roof is continuing at the future Sutherlands Park Youth Entertainment Space.
  • Southern River Business Parkthe construction of the new Southern River Business Park is continuing with the work being completed by our contractors Densford Civil.
  • Regency Drive, Thornlie – This month the City will continue to resurface Regency Drive from the Spencer Road intersection to outside number 69 Regency Drive. This work will occur on the northern side of the road.
  • Warton Road, Thornlie - The City will replace the footpath on the Thornlie side of Warton Road, from Discovery Drive to Spencer Road.
