The City of Gosnells is working with Main Roads WA to reduce crash risks on roads in the suburb of Gosnells.
Each year a substantial number of crashes happen on local roads - including crashes that result in serious injury and fatalities.
The Urban Road Safety Program delivers treatments to local roads, on an area-wide or whole-of-street basis, to reduce crash risks for drivers and vulnerable road users, such as pedestrians and cyclists.
A concept plan has been developed to install local area traffic management devices in 10 locations in the suburb of Gosnells, on the grid-pattern streets bounded by Fremantle Road, King Street, Corfield Street and Dorothy Street.
Road safety treatments in this program are reduced in size so they can be placed within the current road surface. e.g. mini roundabouts. This means treatments can be installed at a reduced cost while still requiring behaviour change from drivers.
This work would be completed in two stages with the first stage to include four treatments being constructed in the 2024/25 financial year.
