Irrigation faults being addressed

3 January 2024

The irrigation systems at Sutherlands Park, Huntingdale, Bletchley Park, Southern River and Brookland Greens, Canning Vale have all had faults reported over the Christmas period.

The City is currently working to rectify the faults and repair the turf that has been affected. Due to the summer temperatures and lack of irrigation over the Christmas period, you may notice some browning of grass in these reserves .

Sutherlands Park, Huntingdale

The City was alerted to a major mainline break at Sutherlands Park over the Christmas period. It has been repaired but unfortunately the grass has discoloured badly and will take several days for the turf to recover. The City has increased the irrigation run times across the site to help encourage regrowth and greening.

Bletchley Park, Southern River

The City is aware of a mainline break affecting Glenview Pass in Bletchley Park. This section was isolated to reduce the potential of a further rupture and allows the rest of the system in the area to operate correctly. The break was repaired on 3rd January. Discolouration to turf and plants on Glenview Pass has occurred and will take several days to recover. The City has increased the irrigation run times across the site to help encourage regrowth and greening.

Brookland Greens, Canning Vale

The City was alerted to a wiring fault at Brookland Greens over the Christmas period. This wiring fault was repaired on Wednesday 3rd January but unfortunately the turf is severely discoloured and will take several days to recover. The City has increased the irrigation run times across the site to help encourage regrowth and greening.

We thank everyone for their understanding and patience while these repairs are undertaken.
