The City of Gosnells will shortly be constructing a cul-de-sac on Victoria Road in Kenwick. This will permanently close Victoria Road at Bickley Road.

With the extension of Clifford Street due to open at the end of April 2026, alternative access to Victoria Road will be available. See the map below.

This change was first outlined in the Maddington Kenwick Strategic Employment Area (Precinct1) structure plan which was advertised for public comment in 2019 and again in 2021.

Following the increase in heavy vehicle traffic in the area, residents requested the City review traffic flow and consider options to reduce the number of heavy vehicles traveling on Bickley Road.

Closure of Victoria Road at Bickley Road is hoped to reduce the number of heavy vehicles using Bickley Road, and encourage drivers to utilise the preferred truck route. This is highlighted on the map below.

City construction crews will close Victoria Road as soon as Clifford Street is open. A cul-de-sac will then be constructed once all designs are finalised.
