Although it may look as though the new bus lanes are ready for use, they will only become operational once the upgrades to the Ranford Road/Nicholson Road intersection have been completed. The City is waiting for approvals from both Main Roads WA and Western Power before the intersection work can commence.

Remaining works to be completed as part of this project are:

• Finalisation of asphalt shared path.
• Drainage upgrade and associated works to area from Campbell Road to Glenariff Boulevard.
• Traffic light modifications (completed by Main Roads WA).
• Street light upgrades and modifications (completed with Western Power approval).

Post construction:

• Line marking of entire project area (completed by Main Roads WA).
• Landscaping by the City's Parks Operations team of verge and median.

Upcoming milestones:

• Road works at the intersection of Nicholson Road and Ranford Road will commence in August 2024, pending approvals from Western Power and Main Roads WA
• Resurfacing of existing lanes between Grand Boulevard and Campbell Road to be completed in October 2024.
