The City is required to provide public notices for various matters that may affect the community, including information about road closures, meetings, tenders and many other matters. Public notices could also give you the opportunity to provide feedback or ask questions about the issue at hand.

At its meeting of 27 May 2025, Council resolved to advertise draft amended Local Planning Policy 2.2 – Outbuildings and Sea Containers in Residential and Rural Zones.
The proposed modifications will provide additional flexibility and clarity regarding the development of outbuildings and sea containers on rural properties.
A copy of draft modified Local Planning Policy 2.2 – Outbuildings and Sea Containers in Residential and Rural Zones can be found on the City’s website.
Submissions should be lodged via the City’s website, yoursay.gosnells.wa.gov.au/planning by no later than 17 July 2025 (being 21 days from the date of this notice).

PROPOSED TRANSFER OF LAND TO STATE OF WESTERN AUSTRALIA FOR SUBSEQUENT RESERVATION AS PEDESTRIAN ACCESSWAY

The City is proposing to transfer and revest Lot 99 on Plan 27616 Albany Highway Gosnells and Lot 37 on Plan 2569 Astley Street Gosnells, pursuant to Section 82 of the Transfer of Land Act 1893, Section 41, 46 and 82 of the Land Administration Act 1997 to the State of Western Australia. The land is currently in the ownership of the City and serves as a Pedestrian Access Way (PAW). This proposal is an administrative amendment, with the land use remaining as a Pedestrian Access Way.

Notice is given of the following meeting dates and times for the City of Gosnells for 2025.
Ordinary meetings will be held on Tuesdays at 7pm in the Council Chambers at the City's Civic Centre, 2120 Albany Highway, Gosnells.
Special Council Meetings will be held for Budget approval in July commencing at 6.30pm and after the Council Election in October commencing at 6pm.
Agendas will be available for viewing at the Civic Centre, City libraries and online at gosnells.wa.gov.au on the Friday before each meeting.
Minutes will be available for viewing on the Friday after each meeting at the above locations.

In accordance with Section 6.20(2) of the Local Government Act 1995, the City of Gosnells gives notice that at its meeting on 25 February 2025, Council resolved to borrow $3 million to partially fund the acquisition of the property located at 95 Victoria Road, Maddington. This land is required for the extension of Clifford Street so that it connects to Victoria Road.
The loan will be sourced through the Western Australian Treasury Corporation at a fixed interest rate of 4.26% per annum over a five-year term.
