The City of Gosnells seeks your feedback on the Proposed Street Name Change - Balfour Street Southern River.

The City of Gosnells has commenced work to extend Garden Street, between Harpenden Street and Holmes Street in Southern River, which will involve significant changes to the local road layout. Click here for further information.

Currently, Balfour Street runs through two suburbs – starting in Huntingdale and ending in Southern River. These sections will never physically connect because they are separated by Sutherlands Park and, in the near future, by the Garden Street extension.

To avoid confusion and ensure clear addressing for emergency services, postal deliveries, and the public, the City, in consultation with Landgate’s Geographic Names Committee (GNC), is proposing to give the Southern River section of Balfour Street a new name. If this happens, your street name and number would change.

At this stage, no new name has been chosen. We are seeking your initial feedback on this proposal before moving to the next stage.
