The City of Gosnells seeks your feedback on the proposed Patio & Carport at 27 (Lot 116) James Street Gosnells.

The application includes:

A 15.53m² carport that is located along the southeastern boundary of the property. The proposed carport is an extension of the existing carport structure. The proposal does not comply with the requirements of the Residential Design Codes (R-Codes), as:

  • The structure has a length of 6.09m, and an accumulative length of 21.69m including the existing carport. The proposed structure includes a 0.5m setback to the boundary (including posts with a nil setback), in lieu of the 1.5m required setback.

The application has been advertised as the setback of the structure does not comply with the ‘Deemed-to-Comply’ requirements of the R-Codes.
