Thornlie Station works

Thornlie Station will undergo significant changes as part of the Thornlie-Cockburn Link project. Enabling works are currently taking place around the station location - NEWEst Alliance will make every effort to keep station operations continuing however, there may be some reductions in services.

Works currently occurring at Thornlie Station:

  • General enabling works to allow for the new station building and platforms.
  • BP Kewdale White Oil Line relation is continuing in the freight rail corridor between the Kenwick Rail Tunnel and the Glen Iris Rail Tunnel which runs through Kenwick, Thornlie and Canning Vale. Pipe relocation work will involve drilling, trenching, and pipe preparation, including welding.
  • Traffic management at Spencer Village will remain in place until the project is completed.
  • The level crossing at Elliot Place and Cameron Street remains closed.
