Keep up to date with Metronet works

The METRONET projects currently underway in the City of Gosnells are continuing to chug along at great speed.

Residents in Thornlie and Canning Vale will recently have received notices from the Thornlie to Cockburn Link team informing them of a period of upcoming out-of-hours works. These works are essential to help the project progress as planned.

Local businesses, workers and residents in Beckenham are being encourage to register now for email project updates and SMS and email work alerts on the METRONET Victoria Park-Canning Level Crossing Removal Project.

This will allow you to receive construction updates in your area, including road closures, out-of-hours works and more.

You may have also noticed work happening on the Armadale Line from Kenwick Station to Sherwood Station in the City of Armadale. This work is part of the Rail Revitalisation Program which is renewing 15 kilmoetres of track, 25 pedestrian crossings and 10 level crossings.

The installation of concrete beams for the new Canning River rail bridge between Thornlie and Kenwick is complete.

This bridge will carry the duplicated electric passenger rail for the Thornlie-Cockburn Link trains and is the 4th rail bridge over the river at this location.
