What is the sustainable garden competition?

The City of Gosnells is a Gold Waterwise Council, supporting the State Government's vision to build waterwise communities by engaging residents and encouraging community action to create highly liveable, sustainable places.

Residents play a vital role in saving valuable water, greening and cooling our neighbourhoods, supporting and enhancing local biodiversity and creating a waterwise community.

This competition is an opportunity to reward the great and sustainable front gardens and verges in our City of Gosnells community. Big or small, existing or brand new, we’d love to see what makes your garden sustainable. Nominations are open to residential, commercial and industrial, and business properties.

How do I enter?

You can join the competition by answering three short questions and uploading three photos through the online form. The judging criteria considers garden design (eg. what species of plants do you have in your garden?), garden maintenance (eg. is your garden waterwise?) and benefits of your garden (eg. does your garden create habitat for local fauna?).
