The City of Gosnells proposes to prohibit parking on the southern side of Freight Road, Kenwick (the side with odd street numbers) following concerns raised regarding traffic safety.

Freight Road is part of the Maddington Kenwick Strategic Employment Area (MKSEA) where 36.5 metre long vehicles (RAV 7) are permitted to travel and access properties.

Frequent parking on Freight Road means that those vehicles have significantly reduced space to manoeuvre, and this causes difficulty in entering and existing businesses.

A proposal to implement parking restrictions on the southern side of Freight Road (the side with odd street numbers) was supported and signage will be installed in the next month.
