The City is required to provide public notices for various matters that may affect the community, including information about road closures, meetings, tenders and many other matters. Public notices could also give you the opportunity to provide feedback or ask questions about the issue at hand.

Thoroughfare Closure - Matison Street, Southern River from Severn Avenue to Ambient Approach.
The City of Gosnells advises road users that a section of Matison Street, Southern River will be closed from 11 June 2026 to 25 August 2026.
Detours will be in place for the duration of the closure and there may be traffic delays expected.'
Plans outlining the closure may be viewed in the 'documents library', or in person at the City of Gosnells Civic Centre, and libraries.

LOCAL PLANNING SCHEME AMENDMENT

Notice is hereby given that the local government of the City of Gosnells has prepared the abovementioned planning scheme amendment for the purpose of rezoning land in the area bound by Railway Parade, Yule Brook, Streatham Street and Ladywell Street, Beckenham from R17.5 to R30.
Plans and documents setting out and explaining the proposal have been deposited at the City of Gosnells Civic Centre, 2120 Albany Highway, Gosnells, and will be open for inspection during office hours up to and including Friday 29 May 2026. The proposal can also be viewed on the City’s website.

On 7 April 2026, the City’s Executive team agreed to some minor changes to Local Planning Policy 4.7 - POS and Streetscapes.
The minor modifications are to reflect updates to WA Planning Commission policy.

At its meeting of 14 April 2026, Council resolved to advertise draft modified Local Planning Policy 2.6 – Display Homes and Land Sales Offices.
The proposed modifications include renaming the policy to Display Homes as Land Sales Offices are now exempted from requiring planning approval under Local Planning Policy 1.3. Other modifications include removing all references to Land Sales Offices, minor renumbering and replacing references to Town Planning Scheme No. 6 with Local Planning Scheme No 24.

The City of Gosnells advises road users that the southbound lanes on Albany Highway, Gosnells, between Gosnells Road West and Fremantle Road, will be closed for an Anzac Day March from 6.30am to 7.15am on Saturday 25 April 2026.
The closure is to allow for an Anzac Day March, organised by the Gosnells RSL.
The entry lane to the Centuria Shopping Centre (Coles Gosnells) from Albany Highway will also be closed. Entry to the centre will be available via Main Street.
Local road users should be aware that detours will be in place and minimal traffic delays may occur.
Plans outlining the area affected by the closure can be inspected at the City of Gosnells Civic Centre, City libraries and on the City's website, gosnells.wa.gov.au.

- Public Open Space (POS) occupying 0.95 hectares located within the centre of the Proposed Structure Plan Area. The POS will include a Drainage Basin.

In accordance with Section 6.20(2) of the Local Government Act 1995, the City of Gosnells gives notice that at its meeting on 25 February 2025, Council resolved to borrow $3 million to partially fund the acquisition of the property located at 95 Victoria Road, Maddington. This land is required for the extension of Clifford Street so that it connects to Victoria Road.
The loan will be sourced through the Western Australian Treasury Corporation at a fixed interest rate of 4.26% per annum over a five-year term.
