The consultation is now closed with 83% of survey respondents supporting the cul-de-sac option. A hammer-head cul-de-sac will be built at the end of Namatjira Way near number 35 in the 2024/25 financial year.
The City of Gosnells is asking residents near Namatjira Way in Kenwick to help decide what road improvement will happen.
The decision has been made to investigate and install a new road treatment to improve the amenity and functionality of Namatjira Way.
There are two options to chose from:
Option 1
This option involves the City creating a road connection between the two existing sections of Namatjira Way, between house numbers 35 and 23.
This area is already dedicated as a road reserve, and has always been intended as road. The road will not reduce the size of Namatjira Way Reserve.
The detailed plan can be found in the document library.
Option 2
This options involves the construction of a hammer-head cul-de-sac at the end of Namatjira Way near number 35.
The cul-de-sac provides a dedicated facility to enable waste collection vehicles to manoeuvre within a three point turn.
The detailed plan can be found in the document library.
