Following the construction of the new road alignment along Main Street, the City has identified an opportunity to upgrade the footpaths and materials along the road.
The upgrade of the footpaths has been added to the scope of the additional road closure, which means the road will be closed for an additional two weeks.
Main Street is now expected to be open by the 17th of December 2021.
This additional week allows us to use the traffic management already in place, and to make the most of having a crew in the area already.
We apologise for the delay and any inconvenience this may cause.
Please be sure to follow any signage and to stay away from the construction area. The fencing is in place to ensure safety to both workers and pedestrians.
Further updates will be provided here as work continues.
